Notes: dark eyes, lack of ear tufts, vertical rather than horizontal striping on the breast, and yellow bill all help to distinguish this species from the Great Horned Owl, another large owl within its range. Song a series of eight hoots in two groups: "Who-cooks-for-you; who-cook- for-you-aah."
