Notes:
a large and strikingly colored macaw with red, blue, and green on the wings; slightly larger than the otherwise similar Scarlet Macaw; also told by red lines around the eyes, which are formed by tiny feathers on an otherwise bare white skin patch; mates for life; nests in tree cavities into which a female lays 2-3 eggs; powerful hooked beak can open even the toughest seeds and nuts.
