Native Range: North America

Notes: closely related to Connecticut Warbler, Kentucky Warbler, and MacGillivray's Warbler, with females and young birds being distinguished from those of the MacGillivray's Warbler only with great difficulty (i.e., by slightly longer wing length when measured in the hand); usually stays near the ground in dense brush; female Mourning Warbler and female MacGillivray's Warbler both have an incomplete eye-ring that distinguishes them from the female Connecticut Warbler who has a full eye-ring; this species is a neotrpical migrant that winters in Central America and nests in northeastern North America.
