Native Range: Africa

Notes: seen in pairs or small parties in mixed bushveld of southeastern Africa, especially near watercourses; can be told from other firefinch species by the pinkish bill in both sexes and by the fact that the female is mostly greyish underneath as opposed to mostly reddish in other firefinch species.
