Notes: this all-black crow of western Europe is very closely related to the Hooded Crow of Eastern Europe and regions eastward across much of the the rest of Eurasia; indeed, these two species hybridize in zones of contact across central Europe; walks or sidles in ungainly fashion while foraging on the ground; common and widespread across many habitat types.
