Notes: a large, noisy, arboreal species of tropical forests from southern Mexico to northern South America; somewhat resembles a turkey but has a bright red bare-skinned throat patch, blue face patch, and a shaggy crest ; builds a twig nest lined with leaves, in a tree stump or among tree branches; no sexual dimorphism.
