Native Range: Africa and Eurasia

Notes: a fast-flying raptor of open country and savannahs; slightly smaller than the similar Peregrine Falcon; diet consists mostly of small birds; like many raptors, it hunkers down in a protective stance (with wings spread) over any prey it has recently caught; like all falcons, it has long pointed wings.
